Proud to be a guest blogger at the Catholic Bibles blog. A little different than a StoryWiseGuy post, so I’ll link back to it here. Feel free to check it out!

  1. A reasonable concern with the use of any Bible is how it serves each phase of our life from childhood nurturing, young adult to middle age guidance, on through senior life fulfillment.

There seems to exist a need for yet another version of a Good Book to be written. The task somehow must pull together the great bodies of discovery in science, in ancient texts (Dead Sea Scrolls, Nag Hammadi Library, The Gospel of Judas and other advancements in the study of consciousness, New Age jingoism, Light Workers, Christ Consciousness, Shaman beliefs shared with native people universally, Energy Healing Arts that seem to enable one’s own body and ones own subconscious to tap into The Source and call in energies to produce healing miracles, each of which has merit and relevance and growing body of adherents). The task of creating the perfect Good Book seems impossible at first glance under the structural needs of most churches.

For example, Catholic Priest, Richard Rohr, “Center For Action And Contemplation” has devoted decades to an effort of illustrating and explaining the great free will choice of consciousness between “service to self” and “service to others.” His books illustrate the duality of the energy of darkness, fear, power and greed in runaway, materialistic “service to self” lives lived versus the awakening, healing powers of Love, Compassion, Forgiveness and assistance of a higher power in a life lived in “service to others.” The duality merges in the eventual observation that each consciousness is a spark of the Living God and granted in this world the soul choice of free will …a concept not exactly stated as such, in order to remain within the fold of his mother Catholic church.

The task seems impossible for any church to compile a new Good Book that reaches all age groups and honors truth.

The Vatican understands the moment in which we live better than anyone in my humble opinion. The judgment to extend its imprimatur to sanction any new Good Book would seem to itself require a miracle of enlightenment to first occur within each of us.

That moment would seem to now be upon this world to choose the path of Light. Let us choose wisely and be helpfully guided in this direction through all churches as a miraculous awakening is cosmically facilitated and spreads through all souls simultaneously.

    1. Well I disagree, and for a different textual basis.

You refer to “scripture” as any collection of writings on sacred topics that inspires you.

I refer to it in the Catholic sense: the set of inspired books of the Hebrew Bible and Christian New Testament which Jesus opened for his apostles. Together with the sacred tradition they passed on, it forms the deposit of faith.

    Your posting is absurd.
I suppose that you will be wanting to involve snake charmers in your quest for so called knowledge as well will you ?

You refer to using ” …The Gospel of Judas and other advancements in the study of consciousness, New Age jingoism, Light Workers, Christ Consciousness, Shaman beliefs shared with native people universally, Energy Healing Arts that seem to enable one’s own body and ones own subconscious to tap into The Source and call in energies to produce healing miracles, each of which has merit and relevance and growing body of adherents…”

I think you need an ‘ overdue ‘ reality check mister.

    1. spookchristian, My reactions where the same as your reaction 10 years ago. A call for a reality check is always a reasonable. But who’s reality? It would be my honor to extend to you the offer of a free QHHT session if you should ever find a need and choose to ask. Wishing each who read this: love in your heart, peace in your soul, and joy in your life, always. http://tinyurl.com/q65uqnd
